I just want to hold your hand all the time & eat toaster strudels with you on rainy days, + popsicles on nice sunny warm ones. If I could, I'd give you the moon, and take you to visit it on a night that's beautiful       & open                  + safe, But I can't,    & all I have to offer you are  juxtaposed promises   set in place            eons ago

Apollo glided into his disco pants.      (your future's too bright) Zeus crashed down with a mighty thud.      (what have you done) Hecate aligned the stars in a bleakly lit sky.      ( for once your futures' all right) Ares put the wars to rest.      (You frame your bruises like trophies) Poseidon swallowed the depth.      (I heard you screaming 'chug, chug!') Gaea shook the earth.      (& with a vengeful look, you took your final bow)    You'd painted your masterpiece.  

We bottled up starry-eyes and fuzzy feelings, intoxicated in the idea of each other. We swore, when the time was right, we'd make a toast, and unleash the galaxies within us.         ten years later                    & I'm still lost in space

Gazing up at the moon, She heard the church bells ringing. The day had come too soon. Time had sealed her fate. Peering around the gate, she longed for so much more. the boundaries of this world, Could not constrain this girl. But her prince was late. That long ago promise, sealed with a kiss, The date, agreed, they would never miss. But promises long forgotten, People turned rotten.. Amount to this.

Take a dip in the atmosphere. There's a million places we could be, but we're here. Waltz with the stars. Don't let reality be your prison bars. Maybe your up that high. Maybe the clouds are that low. These are some things we will never know.
